These elements were hand screen-printed onto the canvas. They were glazed over and layered between broad painted areas, creating a ghost-like effect where the printed words and numbers fade and hide across the painting's surface.</image:caption>

<image:title>Sculptures & Installations - Crisis and Possibility</image:title>
<image:caption>The exhibition Crisis and Possibility at Artspeak Gallery in Windsor, ON, showcases a poignant exploration of the intersection between environmental crises and the potential for awareness and change. The installation employs a unique visual language, utilizing sheets of Tyvek that hang from the ceiling, hand screen-printed with data from NOAA’s Storm Data. This publication documents storms and unusual weather phenomena, chronicling their impact through detailed accounts of fatalities, injuries, and property damage. By emphasizing the stark realities shown in these reports while simultaneously creating an immersive experience, the exhibition invites viewers to confront the urgent issues at hand. The accumulation of printed marks serves as a powerful testament to the growing unpredictability of our environment and the pressing need for awareness, dialogue, and action in the face of ongoing climate crises. This work stands as both a reminder of the challenges we face and a hopeful call for possibility through understanding and engagement.</image:caption>

<image:title>Sculptures & Installations</image:title>
<image:caption>Developed during a month-long session at the Vashon Artist Residency, this body of mixed-media sculptures and installations centers on material speculative play to examine the tension between human artifice and marine ecosystems. The work reconfigures objects gathered along the shoreline—fractured marine utility conduits heavily colonized by calcified barnacles, and deeply weathered driftwood branches. In the studio, these raw organic and industrial remnants undergo a deliberate synthetic intervention. By threading vibrant neon cords through the hollow hoses to create structural tension, incorporating wire grids, and pairing them with fluidly draped, saturated textiles, the pieces establish a powerful visual friction. The resulting assemblages map a space where the heavy hand of human infrastructure and the resilience of the natural world tightly pull against one another.</image:caption>

<image:title>Sculptures & Installations - Vireo’s Call / Molt</image:title>
<image:caption>Created during a residency at the I-Park Foundation, Vireo’s Call / Molt is a site-responsive sculptural installation that bridges the acoustic vitality of the natural world with the visceral textures of transformation. The work synthesizes discarded industrial matter—including a decommissioned refrigerant pipe peeled from its outer casing—with delicate, tactile elements of weather and sound. Intricately woven, vibrant nets catch the light and slice through the studio space, mimicking the atmospheric frequencies and birdsongs of the surrounding landscape. Central to the piece is a deep tension between shedding and structure; a heavy, bag-like fabric casing suspends and drops a cascading sequence of vintage piano hammers that spills out across the concrete floor. This repetition of wooden and felt mechanical parts strangely morphs into an organic form, resembling ancient vertebrae or a discarded skeletal spine left behind after a seasonal shedding. Through this intersection of industrial debris, avian reference, and anatomical echoes, the installation explores the concept of the "molt"—a vulnerable, necessary cycle of peeling back old layers to give shape to the new.</image:caption>

<image:title>Sculptures & Installations - Twins</image:title>
<image:caption>Split tree, dead double trunk, structural rebar, paracord, and mirrors, 2026 Dimensions variable Twins is a site-specific, permanent installation nestled in the woods at the I-Park Foundation, exploring themes of doubleness, twin nature, reflection, and the repetition of two. The work establishes a direct dialogue between two distinct wooden structures: a living tree that splits into two massive trunks and a dead double log resting at its base. Intersecting these forms is an undulating framework of hot pink structural rebar wrapped in paracord, supporting a vibrant, hand-woven net that climbs between the living split trunks. On the ground, two large mirrors lay embedded in the forest floor, echoing the dual nature of the trees by fracturing and repeating the landscape. By bridging the living split tree and its dead counterpart through high-visibility weaving and sharp reflections, the installation forces a constant visual looping—a reminder of symmetry, loss, and repetition within the natural environment.</image:caption>
