I am thrilled to share that my custom-designed mini-golf hole is officially open for the summer season at the Seattle Art Museum’s Olympic Sculpture Park! The nine-hole interactive course runs from June 17 through Labor Day, transforming the park into a playful, creative landscape. It is an honor to be included alongside an incredible roster of local artists, including Julie Alpert, Andy Arkley, Zack Bent, Elizabeth Gahan, Cathy McClure, Chris McMullen, and Anthony White.
About the Project: Rainbow Ridge
Rooted in my ongoing interest in atmospheric forces and environmental change, my contribution to the course is titled "Rainbow Ridge." The design brings elements of my studio practice into a public, interactive space, utilizing material speculative play to translate complex environmental ideas into a physical, playable landscape.
Rainbow Ridge is a color-drenched climb inspired by atmospheric data and my custom-shaped paintings. Working in collaboration with fabricator Drew Warren, the hole features hand-painted gradients, precise MDO platforms, and marine-grade carpet. Players are invited to navigate shifting elevations and vibrant neon arches as they aim to reach a low-pressure basin, all while the neon plexiglass clouds play with the shifting natural light of the outdoor park.
